Born and raised in Camden, Maine, Amy was educated at Bowdoin College and The University of Maine at Orono. Her degrees in Chemistry, Genetics and Music, led her into healthcare research and nursing at The National Cancer Institute in Bethesda Maryland and Washington D.C. With her return to Maine in 1990, Amy was influential in the development & management of Breast Care Centers at hospitals in the State and was a natural as Marketing and Public Relations Director for hospitals in the Midcoast Maine area. It was her work on the side in the ownership & management of a successful retail/decorating business that sparked her passion for business and sales and from the suggestion of a business colleague?a new career in Commercial & Business Brokerage was born! Working in the Portland Area, Amy found a keen skill in her ability to work with the Buyers and Sellers of Businesses. Small business in Maine is the foundation of the Maine economy and the entrepreneurs who start and run them are the wheels and the momentum that push our State forward. There is an art to the pricing of businesses, each is unique and as such, it takes a Broker willing to invest the time, energy and enthusiasm to learn all the aspects of the business, as if it was her own. Amy brings that passion to her work. Commercial Real Estate and Businesses are what communities & neighborhoods are built around.
